Australian Knitters: A winter project to aid the National Portrait Gallery for the winter festival

The National Portrait Gallery is calling all knitters to help in knitting scarves, gloves and socks to decorate the Gallery for their Winter Festival.

All knitted goods will be donated to their friends at Vinnies, after the Festival. This act of donation will help in keeping the Canberra community warm.

Love to knit? Looking for a winter time project? The National Portrait Gallery invites you to knit scarves, gloves and socks to decorate the Gallery for our Winter Festival.

There are no specific dimensions and completed items can be dropped off at the Portrait Gallery in the weeks leading up to the event or just bring them along on the day.

If you are interested in getting involved and have any questions, please get in touch with Alana (02) 6102 7075 or Sally (02) 6102 7074.

Bookings are not required.
