The embossing board is a board full of various designs or patterns. It is usually a double sided board which is used to create a raised effect (embossing) on a card or material with the aid of an embossing ball tool.
The keepsake embossing board is the invention of the glitter girls (Kathy Mills and Barbara Scarlet)
I define the embossing board as a board with grooves (channel) that is double sided and full of designs, which can be used for a variety of purpose as your imagination is being maximized.
The embossing board designs are so versatile not only in other crafts but also in how a design could be used to represent various items. The project book of each embossing board written by the glitter girls (Kathy Mills and Barbara Scarlett) is a book of inspirations where a design has represented various items.
Designs on one embossing board could be combined with another embossing board to make unique works of art.
Illustrated below is how to emboss/trace a pattern with the embossing board.
⦁ DRY EMBOSSING: this is a process whereby the material to be embossed is placed on the embossing board and with the embossing ball tool trace the design. This creates a raised effect on the material when it is being removed from the embossing board.
