Vegetable salad to enjoy while you relax. Here is a quick vegetable salad recipe. Some people do add boiled eggs to vary the taste (I do sometimes). A nice tip of shredding your cabbage thinly is, slicing from the inside, which is illustrated below.
Display it nicely and keep your guest salivating before you serve…..haaa….haa…haah.
Fill your salad/display bowl to the brim if you desire (not like me, who made mine half-full).
I ate mine(vegetable salad) with the popular African/Nigerian jollof rice.
Ingredients
- Cucumber
- Fresh Tomatoes
- Cabbage
- Carrot
- Salad creme or mayonnaise (for eating)
STEP 1: scrape the carrots with a vegetable/potato peeler. Grate the carrots.
STEP 2: Shred the cabbage. To shred cabbage thinly; cut cabbage into two and then slice thinly from the inside of the cabbage.
STEP 3: Slice cucumber with a vegetable slicer.
STEP 4: Slice the tomatoes with a knife. Remove seeds.
STEP 5: Place the shredded cabbage in the bowl, followed by the carrots , cucumber and tomatoes.
