An elegant card made using the Plaid® Enterprise(plaid crafts) layered medallion stencil.
Material needed:
- Layered Medallion Stencil by Plaid® Enterprise
- Blue card 12 by 12 x1
- White card stock 12 by 12 x1
- Chalk or (make -up eyeshadow)
- Liquid glue
- Score board with its scoring tool
- Sponge or Brush to apply the chalk
- Embossing /die-cutting machine
Instructions
Step 1: Place stencil on cardstock – base(blue) and mark the edges of the stencil (this is to make the size of the card and then score the edges to act as a fold.
Step 2: Make another score-line to act as flap (this is to attach the front of cardstock to the back of cardstock (card size can be reduced as desired). Cut excess card.
Step 3: Place glue on the flap on the front of card and then glue front of card to back of cardstock.
Step 4: Cut a white cardstock (reduce the sides a little so that, when it is placed on the front of the blue card, there is a little border) and glue to the front(surface) of the blue card( this acts as matting and layering).
Step 5: Cut a large strip of blue card and cut a smaller strip of white card. Layer the white card on the blue card.
Step 6: Cut thin strip of blue card and layer it on the strip of white and blue card and then glue to the card.
Step 7: Emboss the damask design of the stencil on a white card.
Embossing with the crossover die-cutting and embossing machine:- White mat /base A plate —-stencil—- card(with the right side facing the stencil- side you want embossed)——embossing mat—-clear mat.
Step 8: Colour the embossed design with chalk. Cut the outer chalk edge of design.
Step 9: Place the stencil on the cardstock(blue) and then trace the shape cut it out.
Step 10: Glue the chalked stencil topper design to the blue topper card and place 3D foam pads at the back of this topper and then place the topper on the front of card.
Step 11: Cut, little strip of blue and white card stock. Layer and glue the strips of blue and white cardstock. Put sentiment on it. Glue to front of card.
