You know that magical feeling you get when you wake up, look outside, see the big fluffy snowflakes falling from the sky and it hits you: SNOW DAY! Somehow it always makes us feel like a little kid again. Break out the hot cocoa, parkas, sleds, soup, mittens, or anything else that says “snow day!” to you. Entries will be previewed on a 21″ x 18″ fat quarter and should repeat.

  • Ditsy Mistletoe

Submissions close December 6 at 3 p.m. Eastern, Voting begins December 8

In Scandinavia, mistletoe was considered a plant of peace, under which enemies could declare a truce or warring spouses kiss and make-up. Create a festive holiday mistletoe design in “ditsy” fashion: which is defined in the design world as a small-scale, scattered, non-directional print. Entries will be previewed on an 8″ x 8″ test swatch size and should repeat. Link: http://www.spoonflower.com/contests/ditsy-mistletoe

  • Gnomes

Submissions close December 13 at 3 p.m. Eastern, Voting begins December 15

No one appreciates getting cozy quite like gnomes, preferring to nestle into subterranean caves and nooks. Although we hear they DO love to travel…. Entries will be previewed on a 21″ x 18″ fat quarter and should repeat.

  • Aurora Borealis

Submissions close December 20 at 3 p.m. Eastern, Voting begins December 22

The Northern Lights are one of the most awe-inspiring natural phenomenons that many of us would be lucky to witness at least once in a lifetime. Look to the skies and create a surface design representative of Aurora Borealis. It can be abstract and watercolor to geometric; think outside the box and flex your creativity on this one. Entries will be previewed on a 21″ x 18″ FQ and should repeat.
