Don’t miss your chance to see the magnificant 1718 Silk Patchwork Coverlet, – the oldest surviving dated Patchwork Coverlet in Britain at this year’s Festival of Quilts from the 9th – 12th August.
This year celebrates the 300th anniversary of this complex mosaic patchwork coverlet, which is made from a range of plain and woven silks and backed with linen that has been pieced together from smaller fragments.
This is the last time this quilt will be shown in public for over a decade before going into deep storage in order to preserve it.
