According to updates on the Blossom Sugar Art Facebook page, after much to and fro, “Hobbycraft have said they will cease selling these items in their stores and online.

UPDATE: now Hobbycraft have come back to me and said I need to prove the designs are my own. I am trying to get my head around the timeline…
1. Hobbycraft buyer approaches Blossom Sugar Art just over a year ago
2. Samples were sent and prices and detailed answers given about my business
3. Hobbycraft starts selling strikingly similar designs
4. Hobbycraft asks me to prove they are my designs.
Any new ‘proving they are indeed my designs’ letters from my solicitor will now be funded by crowdfunding.
We have been around on social media since 2010 on various channels, Flickr, Youtube, Facebook etc using the products. I am tired of spending thousands at a time on back and forth on solicitors letters ‘proving’ the designs are my own. I would much rather be designing new products and growing my business.
These repeated solicitors’ letters get expensive for a small business, thousands in the past, in a drawn out process, possibly in the hope that the small business runs out of money and steam, simply gives up and stops moaning. Thank you everyone for your support, it really means so much to this small business!! x

UPDATE: When your buyer Jane got in touch last year Hobbycraft I was happy, she said the products would be perfect for the Hobbycraft customer. Now not so happy when I see near identical name, strikingly similar design and similar colour in your stores. I have worked very hard over the years to build a reputation in the cake decorating community. We are a member of ACID (Anti Copying In Design) Ltd and take Intellectual Property matters very seriously at Blossom Sugar Art
UPDATE: The support of lovely people including loyal customers and super awesome stockists has been amazing!!. I have had so many emails and phone calls. It is very touching to have such support for this brand. I love designing and making flower moulds that help decorators get quick and easy results. Its what I do best, making things. Hobbycraft have said they will cease selling these items in their stores and online. A massive thank you to everyone who shown support, it is so very much appreciated.
