Vogue Knitting Call for Writers
Vogue Knitting is actively seeking talented writers to contribute stories for publication. We are looking for fresh ideas and unique perspectives from a diverse array of voices.
With knitting at its core, each issue of Vogue Knitting features articles on every aspect of the craft, from fiber growers, yarn makers, dyers, individual designers, makers and fashion. We are interested in knitting and other fiber related stories from all over the world. We’d like to hear about a special local yarn shop or interesting event. We love to share techniques and learn about the history of the craft. Articles range from 150 words to 800 or more, please review a current issue of Vogue Knitting for examples.
We are especially interested in things we may not have thought of!
To submit an article for consideration please email designsub@sohopub.com with “Writing Call” in the subject line. Please include the following:
• Your CV
• Links to published writing samples, or attach an unpublished draft or partial draft of proposed article
• Your pitch for the story you are interested in writing for us
• One PDF for each idea
• include YOUR NAME, EMAIL and PHONE NUMBER on each submission
We are looking for well-written, easy to follow articles which have been fact-checked and whose sources can be traced.
To be considered for the Winter 2020 issue, article submissions are due by Wednesday, June 24.
