This astrophotography features the Full Blue Moon or Hunter’s Moon 31st October 2020
Today’s full moon is a blue moon and it is also called a Hunter’s Moon. Today’s moon is a Full Blue Moon. Two events are tied to today’s moon and these are;
1. The moon will be seen globally (worldwide), according to information from NASA Earth and the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the last time a full moon was seen on Halloween across the globe was in 1944.
2. The moon is a Full Blue Moon and a Hunter’s Moon and this Full Hunter’s Blue Moon on October 31st which is Halloween occurs every 19 years.
Note that Full Blue Moon does not mean that the moon will be blue in colour, it only means that the moon is the second full moon in that month. A lot of activities are taking place this week; full moon, Halloween event and time change in USA.
