Design Call: 60 Quick Knits
Submissions due by Wednesday, June 30th, 2020 at 9:00 am EDT
Hello, designer!
Sixth&Spring Books is excited to announce that we are once again partnering with Cascade Yarns to publish another title in the bestselling 60 Quick Knits series. All projects in this book will use Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash. All submissions must be knit projects.
This latest title will feature projects that make great gifts for babies, from newborns to two-year-olds. We would love to see simple constructions, fun textures, and animal-themed projects. Some fun trends we’d also like to see are patchwork, ears, tails, and either bright or neutral palettes.
Some types of projects we are looking for:
– Clothing: sweaters, rompers, dresses, etc.
– Accessories: hats, booties, etc.
– Nursery items: blankets (approx 30” square), mobiles, wall decorations, baskets, snuggle sacks, etc.
– Toys: stuffed animals, fun takes on classics, etc.
Feel free to go as whimsical as you wish or take a more modern and chic approach with your submissions.
Email your submissions as pdf, jpg, or doc attachments to designsub@sohopub.com with “60 Quick Knits” in the subject line. Please keep your submissions to a maximum of 2 pages and 2 MB per design idea. Be sure that your name and contact information is listed on each page. If it isn’t, your submission may not be accepted.
