Closing Down – Sad news: Disney is closing the doors of the Greenwich, CT-based Blue Sky Studios, the hugely successful former 20th Century Fox animation division behind the “Ice Age” franchise– Animation Magazine

According to a post by Animation magazine on Facebook, Greenwich, CT-based Blue Sky Studios is closing down.

Sad news: Disney is closing the doors of the Greenwich, CT-based Blue Sky Studios, the hugely successful former 20th Century Fox animation division behind the “Ice Age” franchise.

The last day for Blue Sky will be in April. According to reports, 450 employees at the studio will lose their jobs, but Disney will be working with the employees to explore open positions at the other internal studios.
