“You can make a quilt with all these swatches” she said to me as she looked at each design.
So many fabric swatches. I got them from testing my fabric designs.
I was saving them in a folder, until the quantity started increasing.
I have been wondering what to do with them. Recently, I made lots of hair bows for little girls.
Someone suggested that I learn quilting.
“You can make a quilt with all these swatches” she said to me as she looked at each design.
I don’t know how to quilt , I replied looking into her eyes.
Hmm! I saw some quilting rulers, cutting mats and rotary cutters in that storage box, she continued saying. You can watch videos on it and learn. Perhaps, you will be an expert soon. she said as a smile formed at the corner of her mouth.
Ha haah aahh. I broke into laughter and she couldn’t help but joined me as we laughed together while arranging the piles of fabric swatches.
The patterns on each fabric swatch differs; some in colourways, others in patterns, fabric kind/types, texture, size of design and much more, I told her with much concern in my voice.
Won’t this quilt be funny looking! I exclaimed.
Oh don’t bother yourself, you will be able to come up with something or a lovely design; however, you can combine it with plain /solid colour fabrics, she smiled as she wanted me to have more confidence.
OK! I said; not wanting to push the matter further. I am sure this quilt will be a “one of a kind”.
It will be like the “coats of many colours” worn by Joseph in the Holy Bible * I winked*.
We started laughing heartily again.
Don’t worry, I will post a picture of my quilt when I finish. It may take time, but I will get there.
Happy quilting!
