INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1: Place stencil on a copier paper, trace the camellia flower design and then cut it out.
STEP 2: Score A4 parchment to form an A5, place the oval aperture cardstock on the inside of the parchment and then place the stencil on top (this helps to mark where to trace the camellia design and also plan the design).
STEP 3: Remove the oval aperture and then trace the camellia stencil’s design on the parchment using a white pencil.
STEP 4: Place the “cut out stencil flower in step 1” on the traced stencil design( this acts as a mask). Place the oval aperture on top and trace the oval design using a white pencil( as shown in the picture below).
STEP 5: Place the embossing mat under the parchment paper and with the shader tool, emboss the petals of the flower from tip towards the middle in a feather-like motion or stroke(flicking) as shown in the picture below.
STEP 6: Trace the oval design with the small embossing ball tool.
STEP 7: With the small embossing tool, trace and emboss the “best wishes sentiment.
TO VARY
1: Use colouring pencils to colour in the petals , sentiment and oval line after tracing the design, instead of embossing.
2: Emboss the design like above and then pierce/prick around the outer edge of the petals with a ” 1 needle tool” and then cut around the edge of the petal with a parchment scissors but leave the petals still attach to enable it flutter. Add glitter glue to the edge of the petals for a glittering effect. add a dab of glitter glue to the centre of flower to act as stamens.
