Brenda Treasure, owner of Australia’s Lily M Millinery Supplies, is launching three ranges of brand new millinery materials – paper fabrics, cork fabrics and PPC (polypropylene and cotton) fabrics. Brenda has been working with textile and environmental protection technology companies in China for some months to develop these new products and also enlisted the help of an international team of milliners for testing and feedback before putting them on the market.
“With the limited supply of abaca, buntal and sisal, together with the need for very good quality and the rising prices, I felt there was a need for my millinery customers around the world to find some alternatives,” says Brenda.
At present, the cork and PPC fabrics are only available to Australian customers but the paper fabric range can be shipped internationally if purchased by 1 August 2018.
