Project for the day- Cardmaking: Die-Cut Printed Floral Topper Greeting Card

Since we are celebrating cardmakers and papercrafters in this month of January 2019, we decided to make a thank you greeting card using the technique of printing and die-cutting.

Below are the instructions and materials to make the greeting card. You can substitute with items or products that you already have in your possession. We want you to make use of what you have in your craft supplies.

Materials needed

  • Die-cutting\ embossing machine
  • 8-inch greeting card
  • Tattered Lace large square dies- size 4 &5
  • Tattered Lace Charisma Spring beauty dies
  • Tattered Lace notched diamond dies – size 10 &11
  • Printable from Tattered Lace Countryside Collection Cd-Rom
  • Pink Cardstock
  • Quickie Glue pen (optional)
  • Ultra Fine Glitter (optional)
  • 3D sticky foam pad

Instructions

Step 1: Using size 5 and 4 of the large square die, cut the pink and the printed pattern paper. glue them together leaving  an even border around and then glue to the front of the 8-inch greeting card.

 

Step 2: Using size 10 and 11 of the notched diamond die, cut the pink and printed pattern paper, glue them together leaving  an even border around and then glue to the top of the 8-inch card.

 

Step 3: Die-cut the printed floral using the Tattered Lace Charisma Spring beauty dies.

 

Step 4: Glue one of the die-cut printed floral slightly offset on the top of the notched diamond topper. Place 3D sticky foam pad at the back of the other die-cut printed floral and then place it over the top of the first die-cut printed floral.

 

Step 4: Using the glue pen, draw some lines on the die-cut floral and they sprinkle the glitter over the drawn lines. Tap off excess glitter.
