Michael Jones, Spoonflower CEO gives updates on business operations in regard to delays, turnaround times and the state of things in the factories

In the video;

Hi, I am Michael Jones, CEO of Spoonflower

Last time we spoke, I was here to talk to you about the increase in demand that we saw across the Spoonflower business.

I also spoke to you about how we were keeping our employees safe during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and we also talked about the investments we are making to lean into this incredible demand we were seeing in our business.

As a reminder, the investments that we made were the following;

*We tripled the numbers of printers in our factory.

*We added 25,000 square feet of overall factory space.

*And we added over 80 people to both customer service and our factory employees.

Specifically, I will like to talk about how those investments are paying off.

In our Berlin factory, where our turnaround times were 21 days, I’m happy to announce that they are now below 10 days.

The team in Berlin has worked incredibly hard and I can’t thank them enough for their hard work.

In our Durham, NC factory, where we did see the largest overall impact, we are now committed to getting all late orders out by the end of June.

We will also make sure by mid-July we are shipping things out in less than 14 days and by the end of July, we will be below 10 days.

I want to thank our Spoonflower employees for your hard work during this time.

Your dedication to our customers is unparalleled.

And finally, I want to thank the Spoonflower customers for your patience and your loyalty, and I especially want to thank those who have taken the time to send me so many letters thanking Spoonflower for their support as well. They’re very touching and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it.

At Spoonflower, we’re always evolving and we’re always progressing and we can’t thank you enough for coming on this journey with us.
