According to a post by knitting author, Susan Crawford, her new book titled Evolution cannot be sold and promoted on Instagram and Facebook because of its title. She stated that she has already appealed but it was rejected without further explanation.

Stresses on the farm have kept me away from social media for the past week. The need to turn off was overwhelming and necessary, however I returned to Instagram today with a message from IG and Facebook advising me my book cannot be sold/promoted via either platform because of its title! I have already appealed and this appeal has been rejected without further explanation. I can promote the individual patterns/kits but not the book itself.
Some of you may remember me receiving an extremely unpleasant email when I first released details of the book, accusing me of all sorts of nastiness because I called my book Evolution – so called because it is about my personal evolution since recovering from breast cancer and also the evolution of the designs I recreated in the Vintage Shetland Project used as the inspiration for the designs I’ve created in this book. I do wonder if similar reports have been sent to Facebook causing the banning of the book.
The book will finally be published next month but I won’t be able to promote it as I should so please do follow the links in my profile if you would like to purchase a copy and please do spread the word to others about my book, Evolution.

The tag evolutionknits is also unacceptable so I will have to come up with a new tag for the book and the projects but I’m reeling a bit at the moment and can’t think of one but please do let me know if you can think of an appropriate, easy to remember tag to replace it.
