3D World May 2021 Issue 272

While many of us either enjoy a specific area of CG, or our job dictates that we spend more of our time on one task, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that a more holistic approach to our knowledge and skills is desirable. Many employers now look at new talent that displays a much more generalised skill set. While modelling is often seen as the headline act, lighting plays a huge part in a finished image. So, we invited Diana David, the artist behind this issue’s cover, to return to the pages of 3D World this month to share her expertise.

We take you down the CG catwalk to explorer the wonderful world of 3D fashion in our feature looking at this growing area.

If you are looking for more inspiration than instruction, check out our features. We delve into 3D fashion, go behind the scenes on Disney’s Raya And The Last Dragon, as well as investigate how Blue Zoo worked on their wonderful VR experience.

Pixologic’s latest version of ZBrush is also scrutinised to see if it is worth the upgrade. Spoiler alert, it is!

Top this off with our regular industry and community news pieces and an inspirational gallery of the latest renders from across the globe, including some more in-depth tech focus articles.
