About the Video.
In this part of the video, Anino teaches how to design a knitted(machine, hand-knitting or crochet) neck scarf as an embellishment for a dress using the DesignAKnit(DAK) charting software.
*The video depicts two designing methods using Designaknit (DAK) standard garment styling section and the original pattern drafting garment styling section.
*The use of the standard garment styling section is for designers with only the standard version of the software why the use of the original pattern drafting section is for designers with the complete version of the software.
*Design a rectangular shape neck scarf in the Standard Garment Styling Section of the DesignAKnit Software.
* Design a rectangular shape neck scarf in the Original Pattern Drafting section of the software and alter the length and width.
*Check the numbers of rows to knit in the Interactive Knitting section of the software.
*Save the designed garment in the different sections of the DesignAKnit software.
*Print the garment instructions in different sections of the software or use the Interactive Knitting section for on-screen instructions.
*Regarding the base dress( the dress that the scarf is embellishing or complementing), this will be knitted in 12 Crafts of Machine Knitting, Technique of Stockinet used as a background design using Designaknit (DAK) and Silver Reed SK280 knitting machine.
*The knitting machine used is the Silver Reed LK150 Knitting Machine but any other knitting machine can be used.
*The yarn used for the demonstration is a double knit weight yarn.
