Jane has been practicing as a model milliner in Australia for many years. She has sold her hats through most major department stores & many fashion boutiques. Her new design ideas and innovative approaches to materials and techniques have resulted in award winning creations.
As many of you will know, Jane has been teaching millinery students for many years. I caught up with her last week about her upcoming European tour. She said, “The classes are very close to my heart. Techniques and design insights I’ve spent years developing and refining. My lace classes have been hugely popular here in Australia, so I’m very excited to give them a global showing! For me these hats combine contemporary design, lightweight elegance, and the beauty of traditional couture craft.
I’m feeling hugely complimented and energized by the response to the classes so far! I will be sure to live up to people’s expectations! After 30 years, I’m very passionate about my craft and I hope to communicate that in the teaching. Feeling proud to be an Aussie milliner, it’s pretty competitive over here, we know our stuff!
I’m looking forward to putting faces to all the names on Facebook, Instagram etc.! All the beautiful hats that will be created and immersing myself in all the culture, fashion and excitement of Europe and the UK. It will also be great to spend quality time with my overseas millinery buddies!”
Not surprisingly most of Jane’s classes are fully booked now but if you’re quick there are still a few places on the following courses:
