Libraries across the UK want to join in with Worldwide Knit in Public Day – but they need knitters! Can you help?
“The launch of Commit To Knit month has been an exciting time for us here at UK Hand Knitting.” says Juliette Bernard. “Last week we contacted a number of libraries across the UK and the response was amazing. We potentially have nearly 90 events planned on or near Worldwide Knit in Public Day on Saturday 18th June.”
There are a number of libraries that want to take part but don’t have a knitting group – that’s where you come in! Do you live near one of these locations and could you maybe turn up for an hour or two to help them out? All you have to do is sit and knit in public to help raise awareness of our wonderful craft.
If you think you can help please email Juliet@ukhandknitting.com and put the library name in the subject of your email.
