Every month we offer a discount on one of our popular designs and this month it is the Cloche Block CB123.
Like a number of our blocks, this one features a fully hollowed base. When the felt is folded and pinned into the hollow it creates an attractive double sided brim. The head band ribbon is sewn on right at the bottom of where the hollowing finishes.
It is the felt, at that point, that creates the correct size head fitting. Bear in mind, if you don’t block right into the hollow and instead trim the felt off closer to the bottom of the block, you will finish up with a hat that is approximately 3/4″ bigger in head size than if using the above method. This can be done intentionally if a bigger size is desired!
