Today, we are celebrating our theme for the month of July 2018 by creating a textured fabric in sewing using shirring elastic.
Materials needed
Shirring Elastic
Sewing Thread
Fabric
Sewing Machine Bobbin
Step 1: Wind the shirring elastic on the sewing machine bobbin. The Sewing thread should be up while the bobbin containing the shirring elastic should be at the bottom. Working on the front of the fabric sew in a back stitch.
Step 2: Space the stitches of each row, evenly. *The sewing thread appears on the front of the fabric.
Step 3: The shirring elastic appears on the back of the fabric.
Step 4: Sew the hems and side of the dress. Sew straps to the dress.
