Design Call: Noro Knit Shawls
Submissions due by Monday, April 26, 2021 9:00 AM ED
Hello designer!
Noro yarn company is currently seeking new knit shawl designs. These will be knit in either a 3- or 4-weight yarn (Akari, Enka, Ito, Kakigori, or Tsubame) in one or more of Noro’s vibrant self-striping colorways—although a solid colorway or two may be used or mixed in.
We’d love to see you come up with something creative.
– Is there a fun way you can maximize Noro’s eye-popping colors?
– Can short-rows, motifs, miters, or increases/decreases be implemented to create unique shapes?
– Perhaps you’d like to pair up simple patterns for a textural delight?
All knit stitches and techniques are welcome.
Email your submissions as pdf, jpg, or doc attachments to designsub@sohopub.com with “Noro Shawls” in the subject line. Please keep your submissions to a maximum of 2 pages and 2 MB per design idea. Be sure that your name and contact information is listed on each page. If it isn’t, your submission may not be accepted.
The deadline for all submissions is Monday April 26th, 2020 at 9:00 am EDT. Thank you in advance for your creative designs!
