Mike: “We recently created our StoryPatches logo that features elephants, so I am partial to these elephant designs.”
Mike has curated 10 designs from the “family tree” Storypatches design challenge with Spoonflower.
Mike is an entrepreneur who has been influenced both by his work on environmental issues and his growing young family.
After spending more than 10 years with the Sierra Club and a leading e-waste recycling firm, Mike founded stkr.it to help people capture and connect their personal memories to the physical world.
He launched the StoryPatches brand in 2014 specifically to serve quilters and fabric artists who want to let future generations know the history and makers behind their projects.
Mike rounded up some of his favorite picks from the Marketplace early this month. You can enter your own design into the StoryPatches Design Challenge by Friday, and stay tuned to vote for your favorite entries next week.

Mike: “My wife and I have a girl due in August, and the theme for the nursery is elephants and pink, so I like these in particular.”
Mike: “I worked for the Sierra Club for five years and the world’s largest cell phone recycling company for another eight; the environment is near and dear to my heart, and I love these nature-inspired prints.”
Mike: “Finally, these are just fun!”
