Blocking Tips
Our saucer blocks are particularly easy to use and these ones are probably the easiest of all! Any one of these blocks would be a great introduction if you haven’t blocked a saucer before. The sinamay is simply laid over the block and tied loosely into the string groove. The presser is then placed on top with a weight on, and if necessary, the sinamay can be pulled tighter to remove any creases. With a little practice, you will find how tight it needs to be so that when the presser is placed on top, all the slack is taken up and the blocking completed in one go.
To see pictures of all the blocks click on this link. All the blocks come with string grooves and pressers which can be used as blocks in their own right too!
For the month of May you can enjoy 15% off the price of any or all of these three blocks!
