Could you design the next First Edition Paper Pad?

We’re super proud of our flagship brand First Edition – inspiring 1000s of crafters all over the world. Over the years we’ve developed ranges of high quality steel cutting dies, decoupage papers, new digital dies, and of course our world-famous paper pads!

Loved by scrapbookers, card makers, and papercrafters of all kinds, First Edition’s premium paper pads have covered 100s of themes and styles during the last 10 years. Known for their stunning effects – including textured papers, spot UV, iridescent glitter, foiling and more – every paper pad is stuffed with amazing patterns, all designed to co-ordinate perfectly for all kinds of craft projects.

And now, you have the chance to create your very own paper pad!

We’re looking for the next amazing designer or illustrator who can bring their own unique style to First Edition, creating a collection unlike anything we’ve had before.

The winner will join our bank of amazing licensed artists who work with us to create the stunning artwork you’ll find across First Edition products – including Louise Tiler, Jessica Hogarth, Katie Pertiet and more!

Not only will the winner see their designs made into First Edition Paper Pads – and of course receive some of their own to keep – just like all our other licensed artists, they’ll receive royalties from the sale of the paper pads, too!

We’re never ones to turn away great talent, so depending on the quality of entries, we are open to licensing multiple artists in the near future – meaning there are multiple paid opportunities available.

Are you up for the challenge?

What we’re looking for…

We want to see something all-new for First Edition – a new theme, a new style, a new concept – we want you to go wild! A twist on a theme we’ve done before is fine, but we really want you to showcase your unique style and vision.

Got more than one idea and can’t choose which is the best? No problem! You’re welcome to submit both – but please no more than 2 entries per person.

To be in with a chance of winning, you’ll need to submit:

A moodboard of your proposed trends or theme – so we can understand your vision

Your moodboard should be A4 landscape, but beyond that, anything goes!

4 designs you’d include in your paper pad – be sure to ‘wow’ us!

Your paper designs should be 31cmx31cm, 300dpi and CMYK

Please note: we ask for the above pitch to ensure we choose designers whose work is perfect for creating paper pads, but we understand that some may not want to create artwork specifically for a pitch. Rest assured that we always welcome speculative portofolios from artists looking to work with us!
